Dwyane Wade will be returning to the Miami heat for one last 16th NBA season

Dwyane Wade stood in front of a camera, in the center of a darkened room and spoke for around 10 minutes. He even tussled at times with words. And, wept when he was unable to control his emotions. He last made the final decision which he called as the most difficult decision of his life, i.e., one more season. In the video entitled “One Last Dance,” Wade announced that he would be returning to the Miami Heat for his 16th and final NBA season.

The 36-year-old guard has put on the Heat uniform just once during a season. Wade indeed had a homecoming to South Beach in the last season; after the time he spent with the Cleveland Cavaliers did not go by as he had planned. It is for the first time that Wade has accepted a bench role after making an average of 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 22.9 minutes in each game between both these teams.

He has proved that he has something left by averaging 16.6 points,4.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in the playoffs. During the postseason, Wade said that he had retirement as an option this offseason, but instead he made the decision of not calling it quits just yet.

There was no question regarding where Wade was going to be after he chose to continue playing in the NBA. He told NBA TV’s Grant Hill that he would return playing in South Beach, after bouncing from Chicago to Cleveland for a nearly a year.

Wade now has a chance to add finishing touches on his Hall of Fame NBA career. Wade, who has won the All-Star crown 12 times, is also the winner of three championships, an NBA Finals MVP and a scoring crown among others. Besides, he already has accomplished just about every Heat record which a guard could obtain reasonably.
